About Richmond Rugby
Richmond Rugby is one of the oldest rugby clubs in the world. Founded in 1861, the club is a founding member of the Rugby Football Union and has played a significant role in the history of English rugby. In 1909, Richmond played in the inaugural match at Twickenham Stadium, which is now the home of English rugby.
Today, the club competes in Champ Rugby at Tier 2 of the RFU pyramid, having earned promotion from National League One. The club plays its home matches at the Richmond Athletic Ground, a venue with over 130 years of sporting history in south-west London.
Richmond is more than just a rugby club. It fields teams for men, women, youth, and juniors, and has a deep connection with the local community through its Heavies Foundation, player welfare programmes, and community outreach work.
How It All Started
Before K4 Group became a sponsor, we were already part of the Richmond Rugby matchday experience. Our teams provided the security and medical cover that every live event needs but not everyone sees.
K4 Security supplied SIA-licensed officers for crowd management, access control, and perimeter security. K4 Medical ensured there was always a rapid safety response available for players, staff, and spectators. Led by CEO Arsalan Khan, our team worked closely with the club across multiple seasons, covering regular fixtures and larger events including firework nights and special matchday events.
Over time, that professional relationship became something more. Trust was built. The club saw that K4 did not just show up for matchdays. We showed up for the community around them.
Becoming the Official Sponsor
In recognition of that long-standing relationship, K4 Group became the official front-of-shirt sponsor of Richmond Rugby. The K4 name now appears on the match kits of all senior teams, making our partnership visible to every player, fan, and opponent on the pitch.
