Woolmen’s Sheep Drive

One of the City of London’s most charming traditions returns, and the K4 Group team will be there. Every autumn, the Worshipful Company of Woolmen revives the historic right of Freemen of the City to drive livestock across the bridge toll-free, a privilege dating back to when sheep were taken to market through the City.

The event raises money for the Woolmen’s Charity and the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, and celebrates wool as a versatile, natural and biodegradable fibre. A Livery and Wool Fair with wool-related trades, crafts, demonstrations, food and drink also takes place on the bridge. Only Freemen can take part in the drive, but everyone is welcome to watch.
